[Shotwell] Direct editing of PNG files?

Is it possible to open and edit PNG files directly with Shotwell Photo
Viewer, without import them into library? Currently Shotwell gives me an
error message, saying that PNG is not supported format. Opening and editing
of JPEG is working file.
