at the moment we test Shotwell by exercising all its features manually.  
We've been meaning to put a list of our manual tests on the Wiki page 
you found, but haven't quite gotten to that yet.  Hopefully soon.

We also hope to build up an automated test infrastructure for Shotwell 
at some point - this is http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/1068 .

By the way, you've asked a lot of good questions here.  I think we need 
to expand our wiki and/or Web site to have a bit more information about 
our development process so you can find out about all this without 
having to ask.  Also hopefully coming soon.
