We have a ticket for a contrast slider 
(http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/624).  We're actually not in a huge hurry 
to implement brightness, because we think that for most casual uses the 
exposure slider will be a better choice ( brightness works additively 
and can turn black to gray, whereas exposure is multiplicative).
