[Shotwell] Configuring script as "External Editor"

Kent,

Shotwell allows you to launch an external editor on only one photo at 
once.  Conceivably that could change, but the external editor feature 
wasn't really designed for your use case, i.e. launching external 
command-line tools.  I think that's sufficiently different that it might 
be worth implementing as a separate feature.  I've opened a ticket here:
