[Shotwell] Question about organizing photos

You are right, the actual files are in the single folder structure.

Now, how do I move all photos from all the events that are categorized like
this:

   year / month / day

to a simple folder structure (year only):

   year

When I drag individual photos from the day folder and try to drop them onto
the year folder, nothing happens.
