I just started using shotwell, but the separation of tags and events
is indeed confusing - why have events if you could have tags with a
certain format, e.g."#@!EVENT!@#" and a display which sorts by using
these tags? This would also allow:
1) multiple events
2) subevents (e.g.
Marriage
- reception
- church
- evening
- ...
and
3) these events would be stored in the image and available for other
programs as well.
A timeline view based on the actual photos actual dates would be very
useful.
